When is ping too high to be a sniper?

Hey I just want feedback and opinions on how your ping affects your sniping....I just got done with a game where we all votebanned Alan Wake.... because he was an incredible sniper-WITH 330 PING-, but he was playing sniper so long his score was well over 400 and no-one took notice till I pointed it out. Someone on the other team had alot to say about it, just wondering when ping starts to affect your abillity to snipe. Is it possible he could program an aimbot to only snipe snipers' heads and not any other heads to hide his aimbot better????Because I spectated him and he was fukin horrible sniping everything BUT snipers....and he ALWAYS got headshots on us snipers.

Doesn't the Valve anti cheat catch stuff like that? I didn't think it was that easy to cheat.
Simple key combo scripts are one thing (is rocket jump cool? haven't done it yet but tempted.)
but that - whats the point, its just a game.

i dont think it always affects sniping. a lot of the time it makes it harder for the other snipers than for the person with the high ping. as to cheating, i do think its probably not too hard. ive suspected a lot of people of using hacks, mainly nospread. if you shoot any gun with bullets or a shotgun, you can see that there is very significant scatter. however, some people tend to kill you way too fast with minigun at range, or as engi with 2 shots EVERY TIME etc. i think some of these people are using nospread. as for aimbots, i dont understand. what a terrible way to be a douche. however, if someone snipes for 30 hours a week, they can get VERY good at it. ive talked to one sniper who even put a dot on his screen until he got good and then removed it. now he knows exactly where hes aiming even when hes not scoped in so hes a great quicksniper.

To actually answer your question, I think that once your ping is higher than say 70, it'll start to affect your sniping. I personally wouldn't want to snipe with anything higher than 50.

lol ya i guess melon didnt answer my question at all....but nice try melon, personally i think its impossible for a 330 ping sniper to have me headshot-dominated and i had 50 ping. Im not the greatest sniper but everytime RIGHT before i pull the trigger im fkn sniped.....bullshit and ban-warranted. There is no way I suck that bad. LOL BTW yesterday I got killed by a taunt but I was playing spy which i'm horrible at.

As far as I know from a fellow sniper, as long as you dont get 3 digits you should be ok
