Find meh a new 1337 mouse! (mouses have tails/cords)

Find meh good mouse! Not a tailess one like Disruptor uses kthx. I dont really care about price as long as its not like $150USD or something insane. Maybe need a good keyboard too since i have no hopes of salvaging my Saitek Eclipse II.

the most important thing is whether you want a hand or gaming mouse. hand mice you hold with your whole hand and are contoured to fit your palm. finger mice you rest your palm on the desk and just move your fingers. i think most people prefer finger mice for gaming. unfortunately i have a logitech g5 my brother gave me. its a great hand mouse that i attempt to use as a finger mouse. other than that the only things i really look for are a scroll wheel that does up and down and side to side, and a couple programmable buttons that are easy to use. for dpi and response time and all that nonsense, as long as you get a modern laser mouse, theyre all pretty comparable. my mouse even has adjustable weights inside it. psh! what a crock a shit.

Yeah i have no idea what a finger mouse is so i suppose i want a hand mouse? I had a Logitech mx400 that i broke the button hammering engy/scout pistol spam.

Thats a pretty sick keyboard. As for mouse Id go with a Logitech G5, thats what I use and its a great mouse, lots of settings, very accurate with a good mousepad. Dont forget the mousepad, its important too.

That one looks uncomfortable but i would have to hold it to be sure. I dont and have not had a mousepad in years though. Just run the mouse right on my black desktop. It's never made obvious false moves (or moves on its own) so why then do i need a mouse pad?

Once you get a good mouse pad you'll know what I mean. Mostly its the slick surface that wont hinder your movement or make the mouse stick. It also provides better tracking.

I got one of your Logitech g5 mice. I dont like the feel. Its made to keep a finger over the mouse so you hold movement with thumb/pinky but i am used to holding the mouse with thumb/ring+pinky and using a middle finger on the right click. Because of this that i am used to i am either constantly feeling out of place when gaming or my pinky doesnt have enouph room on the side with the ring finger and drags on the desk or almost gets rolled over by the mouse and stops the movement. Think im gonna order a mx400 online somewhere instead.

yeah i have the same dislike about the g5. if i was serious about gaming id get a different one but i have more important things to not spend money on right now.

g5, the newer one (its blue, and has two buttons on the side instead of one like the old g5) would be my recommendation.
It's been out for a long time now, it was the only mouse when it came out (nothing else came close, well maybe the copperhead), and still the best gaming mouse imo. Good design, looks good, works good, adjustable, pretty reliable.

But since you dont like the g5 just get whatever feels comfortable, has a cord, and is a laser mouse.
As for the mousepad, dont need that shit... imo... Just gets in the way. Specially with a g5 with since it has teflon pads. I guess it might help your finger slide along, though...
Maybe try a microsoft habu, or one of the razer mice. Copperhead, lachesis, etc. Although theyre made to be marketed as opposed to purpose built. Yes the usb is gold plated, no I don't give a shit (and can't tell that its gold plated when plugged in). Also dont care how many bad gamers, who I've never heard of, endorse your products.

You'll get used to whatever soon enough, so i'd stick with the g5. (well, obviously I would) or buy the blue one - I own both g5's, along with a MX518, MX610, and some others. Oh and I'm 6'1 and my hand is pretty fcking big

keyboard looks like its out of startrek, which is not a good thing~

i got used to the G5 and mine is the blue one with the 2 thumb buttons (but i bound both to my pistol spam just incase my fat thumbs tries to hit both at the same time) The keyboard is neat but i have no idea how to set up the custom side keys in the program thing it came with.
