Have you ever heard the question: "What's your mouse sensitivity?" The idea behind the question is to learn which number will magically improve your aim. What most people don't realize is that whatever answer they get, in most cases it's simply not useful at all. There are way too many variables from computer to computer. On top of things, user preference plays a major factor in the mix. So here it is, a guide to understanding aiming in tf2.

Re: TF2 Tips n Tricks
yeah driver i remember when you posted this on the xeno forums. i never got around to redoing these settings since i reinstalled windows a month or 2 ago. hopefully it helps my sniping cuz ive really gotten out of shape since i reformatted.
Re: TF2 Tips n Tricks
It really does help in all aiming but I would assume it affects sniping the most. It really makes a difference you can notice, and once you get used to it I you'll find that you'll be much more consistent.

I'd say invest in a decent gaming mouse too, doesn't even have to be a high end one. But don't go wireless >_< I went from a Wacom wireless tablet mouse to a Logitech G5... To say it was an improvement is an understatement.

I learned long ago about how bad wireless is for gaming. For everything else its great but it can really hurt your aim.
Re: TF2 Tips n Tricks
i have a wireless keyboard i use for itunes and stuff when i dont want to get out of bed. it actually works for for gaming. i always use a wired mouse though. much more important. the keyboard is bluetooth as opposed to infrared, dont know what kind of difference that makes.
Re: TF2 Tips n Tricks
Alright i broke the button on my mouse (RIP my Logitech friend) i think by trying to rapid fire engy pistols when i spam the bridge. Yay spam. So i looked around for a rapid fire script cause there has to be something to fire fast without me spamming my poor mouse. I found one and bound it to mouse4 but feel free to bind it anywhere. I also put it in a autoexec.cfg file along with binds for j and k to build sentry and dispenser so i dont have to deal with the in game menu.
I modified the script because somehow during the use of the original automatic guns like the syringe gun would fire once and then reload, fire once and then reload etc etc even though i bound no scripts to regular "mouse1" Mouse1 is still just bound to "+attack" like it is set from default but the script somehow effected it after use. So far this new one works but i also put the scripts only in "engineer.cfg" and "scout.cfg" and removed it from "autoexec.cfg"
To find cfg(config) files per class they are in program files/steam/steamapps/your user name/team fortress 2/tf/cfg just edit them in notepad/wordpad and make sure they retain .cfg suffix

I also found a good one to fix players being invisible and etc after alt+tab what it does is start and then stops recording a demo to re-sync the gameOld Original Script that had a bug for me wrote:Alias +quickfire "slot2; wait; +rs"
alias "+rs" "-reload; wait 5;alias reps +rsse;+rsse"
alias "+rsse" "+attack;wait 3;-rsse"
alias "-rsse" "-attack;wait 3;reps"
alias "reps" "+rsse"
alias -rs "alias reps none;wait;+reload"
alias -quickfire "-rs; wait 5; +reload; wait 15; -reload; wait 100; lastinv"
bind "MOUSE4" +quickfire
Alias altabfix "record bugfix; wait 15; stop"
bind "F9" "altabfix"
modified script without the reload as the guns auto reload at empty clip anyways wrote:

Re: TF2 Tips n Tricks
I use a Bluetooth mouse, i know my aim is not that good but when I use a friendĀ“s wired Razor mouse (which he says is an "OMG L33T GAMING MOUZZZE") My aim is even worse, I know it also has to do with sensitivity, i found im better in high sensibility setting from the in-game options (35-40...im twitchy ^^) because it is frustrating when you have to slide through your complete desk just to turn around fast (small mouse pad and glass below it). Not sure about my drivers settings since im comfortable with it in and out gaming.
