commie why wont u snipe anymore?

I hated communist´s sniper with all my soul...until i learned to play...i called him a hacker once or twice and he just kept telling me "learn to play"...i still havent learn that much but i can hold my own before i get raped xD

now about distruptor and busdriver...thanks to you 2 guys and Ok Kid A i hate playing against a good soldier...but im learning to play soldier so i can at leas survive 3 rockets:p

I dont know... sniping is kind of boring. You can only pull off so much as sniper (headshot, headshot, headshot). In most games, well, mohaa to be specific, I played sniper. This was because it took the most skill out of any class, and you could fight close range - I mean you got one chance (one shot) before getting raped, so aim. Anyway in tf2 I like spy better than sniper because it has more... depth..., takes more skill, and has more style. Oh the other thing that pisses me off about sniper, and this game, is the terrible hit detection. Its ridiculous shooting people who are falling, I always shoot the air above a falling scout and boom, headshot... also enemies who are swimming, jumping, soldiers who are strafing, rocket/demo jumps, enemies who are taunting, trying to find the disguised spies head under that heavy. If a pyro is standing sideways to you, you can literally shoot the air infront of his face and it will give you a headshot. but then again spy suffers from the same BS. enjoy the facestabs. Also dont like the fact that no scoping is so weak, and that no scope headshots dont count as headshots.
Basically I played sniper in another game for 6 years, the last 2 or 3 in sniper only. So I started as sniper in tf2, got good, realized how much I dont like it, and stopped.
I still snipe occasionally, in between naps
Although I did have fun sniping disruptor in the sewers yesterday...

First of all, i was in the idea i had put my post in the "high scores" thread...now i realize i actually made a new one (not my intention at all) so if any admin can put this OMG so long thread back where it belongs much better.

Now, yea ive heard (well read) you a couple of times talking about the hitboxes in TF2 and how that works in favor of any sniper with decent or better aim (me being one of the worst snipers i know XD). And i do share your idea about the spy although im not as skilled, yet again it was a shock for me when i could just walk by the bridgetop on 2fort freely without communist blowing my scouts head until i saw you backstabng the shit out of my team...was weird to see that drastic change but since you are still really skilled with spy anyways soon i thanked i spend most of my time on the move (scout) so you wont slice through me every time y turn around.

I wouldnt say it works in favor. You can compensate (which is what I meant by shooting above the scout, if i shot the bottom half of his head it would count as a bodyshot, and yes I have recorded demos of this so I know I didnt just miss) but it would be much easier (and better) if the hitboxes were done properly.

i have left a couple of enemy snipers with a stain of blood on their heads...but alive...even if a medic had them overhealed a headshot is a kill in that case (full charged). Once i had to no scope the second shot to kill the guy (guess i left him really low on health on the first shot).

One think i dont like is the demo´s ridiculous hit boxes... according to valve the more you are far away from the core of an sticky explosion you should get less damage, but is irrelevant ,because i can be at the very edge of it and it will do (at least) 125 dmg thus killing my scout/spy no matter how much y move. seeing how most demo playing in most casual servers is "air born sticky explosion" is really annoying how even an unaware demo can kill you not even knowing youre there.
